I'm not sure if the story goes deeper when you finish all of the characters' stories or the "Global Conflict" (which is tragically repetitive and has terrible level art and design). The story has you driving around town doing tasks with an arrow to follow on the ground that you can't always rely on and that you can't remove from the hud or something. (personally mine was Braddock + Rama + Sheherazade) It doesn't take long to figure out what your preferred team comp is, and when you max out your favourite characters, you have no incentive to play any other character. It's a hero-based shooter but the characters lack soul and heart, they are bland af. It doesn't take long until you realise that it's is filled with unnerving repetitive filler content. Maybe 10 at most, and I'm being optimistic. If you enjoy high paced visceral combat where you dodge your way out of bullets and use cooldown abilities, this game is good for the first few hours. Writing this as someone who has played and enjoyed all previous Saints Row installments.
